      EU Consumer Rights

      Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU on consumer rights, you have specific protections when purchasing digital services online.

      Your 14-Day Right of Withdrawal

      As an EU consumer, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. This period starts from the day you complete your subscription or credit purchase.

      Important: Digital Content Exception

      ClipStudios.AI provides digital content (AI video generation). Under Article 16(m) of the Directive, if you consent to begin using the service immediately and acknowledge that you lose your withdrawal right, you cannot claim a refund once you've started using credits or generating videos.

      During checkout, you will be asked to provide express consent to begin the service immediately. If you do not provide this consent, you retain your 14-day withdrawal right but cannot access the service until the period expires.

      When You Can Get a Refund

      Within 14 Days, No Usage

      If you haven't used any credits or generated any videos, and haven't waived your withdrawal right

      Significant Technical Failure

      If our service experienced major issues that prevented you from using your credits (evaluated case-by-case)

      Partial Refund for Unused Credits

      In some cases, proportionate refunds may be available for unused credit portions (at our discretion)

      When Refunds Are Not Available

      After Using the Service

      Once you've generated videos or used credits after providing withdrawal consent

      After 14-Day Period

      If the withdrawal period has expired and no exceptional circumstances apply

      Account Termination for Violations

      If your account was suspended or terminated due to Terms of Service violations

      Fraudulent Requests

      How to Request a Refund

      Step 1: Contact Us

      Send your refund request to:

      Step 2: Include Required Information

      • Your full name
      • Email address associated with your account
      • Date of purchase
      • Transaction ID or invoice number (if available)
      • Clear statement that you wish to withdraw/request a refund
      • Reason for refund (optional but helpful)

      Step 3: Wait for Our Response

      Acknowledgment: Within 2 business days
      Decision: Within 5 business days
      Refund Processing: Within 14 days of approval

      Subscription Cancellation

      How to Cancel Your Subscription

      1. Log in to your ClipStudios.AI account
      2. Navigate to Settings → Billing
      3. Click "Manage Subscription"
      4. Select "Cancel Subscription"
      5. Confirm your cancellation

      What Happens After Cancellation

      • Immediate effect: Your subscription will not renew at the next billing cycle
      • Continued access: You retain access until the end of your current billing period
      • Credits: Any unused subscription credits expire at the end of the billing period
      • Top-up credits: Purchased credit top-ups remain valid until their expiration date (12 months from purchase)
      • Generated content: Your existing videos remain accessible until account deletion

      Note: Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund for the current billing period. Refunds are governed by the withdrawal rights outlined above.

      Credit Top-Up Purchases

      One-time credit top-up purchases are also covered by the 14-day withdrawal policy:

      • Unused credits: If you haven't used any credits from a top-up within 14 days, you may be eligible for a full refund
      • Partially used: If some credits have been used, refunds (if approved) will be proportionate to unused credits
      • After 14 days: Top-up purchases are non-refundable after the withdrawal period
      • Expiration: Top-up credits expire 12 months from purchase and are non-refundable upon expiration

      If you have questions about our refund policy or believe your refund request was unfairly denied:

      1. Contact our support team at support@clipstudios.ai to discuss your case
      2. If unresolved, you may escalate to your national consumer protection authority
      3. EU consumers can also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform
